Forum: movies Subject: support for Latin 1 characters in titles & descriptions?

Hi - I've posted two videos in Portuguese. For both, I submitted titles and descriptions including Latin 1 characters. In both cases, it seems like the non-ASCII characters have been transformed during the upload process. Is there any way to get Latin 1 metadata (title/description) characters to pass through the system successfully? If not, could that support be added at some point?

Here are the uploaded video pages for reference:

You can see how the characters SHOULD look on the equivalent pages on YouTube:

Also, how does Archive.org determine which languages are supported for language-specific subsites and language-specific search queries? AIDSvideos.org has an increasing number of HIV/AIDS prevention education videos in various languages and I'd love it if speakers of those languages could readily find them on language-specific subsites within archive.org. i.e. it would be great if archive.org just added support for language-specific subsites and searches for the world's major languages. Thanks--keep up the good work!
